Artists from Alto Adige Hopfgartner and Forer perform in the georgmuehlmann laboratory's large atrium along with moving sculptures and a cello-percussion performance.

Premiere of Christof Dienz's new opera The Tyrolese composer Christof Dienz has lived and worked in Vienna for a while, but has nonetheless never forgotten his origins. Dienz is known for his unconventional sound schemes , and in this piece commissioned by “Tirol Werbung” he provides his musicians with “unusual” instruments. In wonderful unison with the acoustic instruments, stones are scratched together, wood is beaten, metal filings are grated, ice is scratched. Zeena Parkins, a well known electric harpist, is trusted with the solos. An American artist, she dabbles in rock, pop, as well as modern electronic music. |
